Brian Tsosie/ John Hardy

On Friday the 3rd of February, we had a neat experience.

We and the Elders stopped for lunch at a local Pizza Edge. When we go to Pizza Edge, we usually have take out, but Jan felt impressed that we eat in. As we were waiting for our order, a tall slender Navajo fellow came in to order. As I looked at him, I told Jan that he looked like a lot like John Hardy, Max’s son, same height, same build, same facial features. After a bit, I said that I needed to take a picture of him and send it to John. As we were eating, he came up to us and started talking about the church: asking us where the Church is in Pinon, what time ‘Mass” starts etc. We told him about the Church etc and he went back to his seat.

I turned around and asked him to come and sit with us. He came over and he filled us in. He has an engineering degree from a university in Washington State and teaches in Low Mountain. While in Washington he spent time at the Church bible study group etc. He then told us that his favorite scripture was Romans 5:3-5 and then then mostly quoted the verses. One of the Elders said that one of his favorite scriptures was Romans 8:29-35. I mentioned that one of my favorite scriptures was Romans 8:16-17. We really had a great chat. He said that he would see us on Sunday at church. We hope so.

As we were leaving I had the Elder Emery take a picture of Brian and us. When we got back to the trailer, I called Tanis and got their cell number and sent them a picture of Brian and they sent us a picture of John (and their family).
